M. Virginia Southworth

About the Author

M. V. Southworth grew up in a large family in Ticonderoga, New York. As a young adult she lived with her grandfather, caring for him in later years and traveling intermittently throughout the world. Her grandfather's biggest concern was that his granddaughter was too naive. Ignorance was bliss as Virginia lived in other countries and worked her way around the globe.

She embraced various cultures and learned from them whether it was working in a fish and chip shop in Ireland, or teaching English in Poland; subsequently getting caught in a flood. M.V. Southworth's experiences have drawn her closer to God and her understanding of Him throughout her life's journey which continues to enchant.

Handkerchief Girl Books

Even as a young child, M. V. Southworth would conjure up stories from her imagination, sharing them with anyone who would listen. She developed her storytelling and writing quite a bit since then, but the thrill of language and creation she first discovered as a child has never gone away. M. V. Southworth combines her childhood memories and her life-learning experiences in her writing.

Family and Faith are the cornerstone in Virginia's journey and are reflected in Handkerchief Girl Books. M. V. Southworth has been writing professionally since 2000 and has no intention of slowing down anytime soon.

Come be enchanted in the poignant adventures of Virginia as she comes of age, and travels beyond her wildest dreams, often encountering insurmountable odds.

“Virginia, you are a really good writer and I don't say that to many people.  You should nurture your talent for writing."

Sloan Wilson - Author of "The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit'
